Students will learn and practice the skills needed to learn to work as a team, listen carefully, communicate clearly, and think creatively. These skills will help to build trust and build community. The students will engage in partner and group activities and challenges. Each activity will teach different skills: Paying attention, communicating (out loud or silently), empathy, thinking creatively, and frustration tolerance. Sample activities include the Name Game, Airplane Flying Game, Pass the Hula Hoop, Sticks, Stones and Bones, and other fun games. This class is being taught by Ms. Cheryl Page, LMSW and Kelly Lane School Social Worker. This will run for 8 weeks and meet in the iLab. *No class held on 3/27, 4/10, 4/17.
